Cooperative Sponsors Major Awards Presented to Suwannee FFA Farmers Cooperative is an annual sponsor of two major awards presented by the Suwannee FFA Chapter of Suwannee High School in Live Oak. The awards are the Star Chapter Farmer and Star Agribusinessman and they're awarded each year during the Parent-Member Banquet. This year's ceremony was held April 29 at Suwannee High School with Todd Lawrence, general manager of Farmers Cooperative, making the presentations. Recipients were Kelli Dasher (Star Agribusinessman Award) and Levis Johnson (Star Chapter Farmer Award). Speaking for the award winners, Dasher said in a letter to Todd, "Sponsoring this award is just one example of your continuous support of the Suwannee FFA chapters." "It is with the assistance of many community members who are willing to make a contribution to the youth of the community that allows extra curricular activities like FFA (to) have so many distinguished successes," Dasher concluded. In a separate letter addressed to Todd, FFA advisor Bill Brothers said, "Your contribution... provides the recognition and support that two of our most outstanding members deserve."
